The role of Assistant Inspection Project Engineer involves supporting the coordination, planning, and delivery of inspection services on the Torus CNRI contract. The role requires ensuring activities are carried out safely and effectively, in line with company procedures and standards of service, while adhering to principles of independence and impartiality.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support to Bilfinger and the client, both onshore and offshore.
  • Complete mobilisation requirements for personnel and equipment offshore.
  • Update operational rotas.
  • Attend meetings to maintain communication with offshore teams and clients.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials.
  • Manage materials and equipment, including trackers, shipping, write-offs, and transfers.
  • Coordinate with stores and shipping departments for equipment issuance.
  • Record onshore working and training hours for offshore personnel.
  • Review and approve weekly offshore timesheets.
  • Approve third-party invoices and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure correct invoicing data for labor and plant prior to submission.
  • Assist in preparing financial forecasts.
  • Ensure timely receipt of inspection reports, HSE reports, and relevant documents from offshore.
  • Address PAYE wage queries and approve expenses.
  • Manage offshore holiday requests.
  • Complete qualification forms before mobilization to ensure personnel competence.
  • Coordinate training with the T&C team.
  • QC check inspection reports from offshore.
  • Arrange and track TLD badges for classified workers.
  • Assist the Inspection Project Manager, Project Planner, and Project Engineer, providing cover during absences.
Experience & Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, SAP, or similar databases.
  • Potential for progression to higher management levels.
  • Experience in in-service inspection is desirable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are desirable.
