Job summary

RG Search Ltd, on behalf of a top 200 law firm in Central London, is seeking an Insolvency Restructuring Associate Lawyer to join a dynamic team with a varied caseload.

You will advise on restructuring and insolvency matters, draft court documents, supervise junior staff, develop client relationships and contribute to business development, with hybrid working and a salary up to £110k plus bonus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in Restructuring & Insolvency law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Confidence delegating work and mentoring junior team members.
• Sound judgement and effective decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on restructuring and insolvency matters with practical, commercially focused advice.
• Taking client instructions and guiding cases through each stage.
• Drafting court documents and other client-tailored documentation.
• Negotiating with clients, solicitors and professionals to achieve best outcomes.
• Managing correspondence with clients and opposing parties; representing clients in disputes and court when required.
• Instructing barristers and senior advocates on complex matters; mentoring trainees and staff.

Excellent salary to £110k plus Bonus and hybrid working

Location: Central London

Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals, managing a varied caseload while building lasting client relationships and developing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role:

As a Restructuring & Insolvency Associate, you'll play a key role in supporting clients through complex legal matters. Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising clients on restructuring and insolvency matters, providing practical and commercially focused legal advice.
• Taking client instructions and guiding them through each stage of their case.
• Drafting court documents, legal correspondence and other documentation tailored to clients' individual needs.
• Negotiating with clients, solicitors and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Managing correspondence with clients and opposing parties.
• Representing clients in disputes and attending court where required.
• Instructing barristers and specialist advocates in more complex matters.
• Supervising and mentoring trainee solicitors and legal support staff where appropriate.
• Supporting business development initiatives and building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Completing administrative tasks including time recording and billing accurately and within firm guidelines.
• Keeping up to date with legal developments through ongoing professional development and CPD.

What we're looking for

• Experience within Restructuring & Insolvency law around 4yrs experience Plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
