Position: Insolvency Practitioner
Location: London

Overview:
A prestigious and well-established insolvency and restructuring practice is seeking a qualified Insolvency Practitioner (IP) to join its London office. This is a senior-level opportunity for a dynamic professional to play a strategic role in leading complex insolvency cases, driving business development initiatives, and supporting the wider growth and direction of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full appointment-taking responsibility across a range of corporate and personal insolvency cases, including Administrations, Liquidations (CVLs & MVLs), CVAs, and Bankruptcies.
  • Lead and manage complex, high-profile assignments from initial instruction through to closure, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Provide expert advice to directors, lenders, creditors, and other stakeholders on insolvency options, turnaround strategies, and restructuring solutions.
  • Oversee a team of case administrators and managers, offering technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources including accountants, solicitors, lenders, and other professional intermediaries.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing strategies, identifying opportunities to grow the firms insolvency and advisory offering.
  • Liaise with legal counsel, HMRC, regulatory bodies, and courts where necessary.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes, SIPs, and insolvency legislation, ensuring full compliance in all casework.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified Insolvency Practitioner (JIEB) and hold a current insolvency licence.
  • Significant experience in managing and taking appointments on a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency cases.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience and ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Commercially minded with strong networking and business development capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to the growth and direction of the practice.
