Overview
We are looking for a full-time team member to join our research team as an Insight Executive.
At Taylor McKenzie Research we spend a lot of time designing surveys, analysing data, and speaking with clients and participants; strong analytical skills and clear communication are essential. We are ideally looking for someone with relevant experience in market research who is organised, detail-oriented, and keen to develop their skills across both quantitative and qualitative methods. Job title: Insight Executive
Salary: ~£27k per year plus private medical insurance
Working hours: 9.00am until 5.00pm (Full time position)
Location: Glasgow City Centre.
Responsibilities
- Survey design & scripting
- Design, script, and test surveys using platforms such as Snap Surveys and QuestionPro
- Apply best practice in questionnaire design to maximise respondent engagement and data quality
- Data analysis & reporting
- Manage and analyse quantitative datasets, applying statistical techniques where appropriate. Using Q Software & DisplayR
- Develop clear, visual, and insightful reports, translating data into compelling stories, dashboards and actionable recommendations
- Qualitative research
- Support and contribute to qualitative projects, including designing discussion guides, moderating interviews/focus groups, and analysing outputs
- Confidently engage with participants to ensure valuable insights are captured
- Client engagement
- Liaise with clients to understand research needs and objectives
- Present findings and contribute to client debriefs with clarity and confidence
- Collaboration & development
- Work closely with senior researchers across mixed-method projects
- Contribute proactively to team discussions, suggesting improvements to research processes, reporting, and overall project delivery
Qualifications / Personal Attributes
- Relevant experience in market research (agency or client-side)
- Solid understanding of survey design and analysis techniques
- Confident with research and reporting tools (Q, Snap, Displayr, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to tight deadlines
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Comfortable moderating or co-moderating qualitative sessions, or keen to further develop this skill
- A collaborative, adaptable team player with curiosity and drive to develop further
