About the Role:

Our Inside Sales Specialist plays a key role in driving new member onboarding and sales at Herdwatch.

We’re passionate about member happiness, and as part of our UK team based in the Agri-tech Innovation Hub, Edgmond Newport, Shropshire, you’ll connect with our network of farmers—introducing them to the Herdwatch app, helping them get set up, and guiding them to make the most of it, saving them time and money.

You’ll receive full support to succeed, including comprehensive product training, sales coaching, and ongoing mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage and convert leads: Proactively call farmer leads to sell the Herdwatch app and upgrade them to the most suitable paid plans, achieving high conversion rates through assisted sales.
  2. Meet and Exceed Activity and Sales Targets: Ensure you reach your monthly quota in terms of new customers signed up, revenue and call activity.
  3. Manage renewals: Respond promptly to membership renewals, assist with payments, and handle exceptions to maintain high renewal rates.
  4. Support onboarding success: Deliver proactive outbound and inbound support during the crucial onboarding phase to drive strong app engagement and member satisfaction.
  5. Maximize every interaction: Ensure each member interaction delivers value, encourages app usage, and supports long-term retention.
  6. Champion the member experience: Work closely with your team and manager to foster a culture where the member experience is central to everything we do.
  7. Share insights and feedback: Collaborate with internal teams by sharing customer feedback, recurring issues, and product suggestions to help improve the overall experience.
  8. Represent Herdwatch: Support event preparation and attend key farming shows in Ireland and abroad, helping to grow the Herdwatch brand and educate both current and potential members on our app and roadmap.

  • A farming background is an advantage, but not essential—full product training will be provided.
  • You’re a natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for helping people.
  • You’re open-minded, a good listener, and eager to learn and grow.
  • You’re organised, proactive, and can manage your time effectively—both independently and as part of a team.
  • You have strong attention to detail and are committed to delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
