As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will be joining a highly motivated multi-channel team, working in a fast-paced environment that requires resilience, where you will build and maintain strong customer relationships using excellent communication skills via virtual channels including Zoom & Webex. We are seeking a commercially aware sales individual, who is target focused with the drive and hunger to close sales within a B2B environment and we are open to those who have experience from any type of targeted sales background.

This exciting position will allow you to take ownership of your role and manage your accounts and diary on a day-to-day basis alongside selling an innovative and industry leading portfolio of contact lens products plus solutions.

Alcon launched their successful Precision1 contact lens last year and additional launches are planned for this year too!

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Working in tandem with Senior BDM by partnering consultatively with Account Lead/Decision Maker, ECPs and other Store Team members as needed to achieve mutually aligned goals aiming to deliver outstanding customer experience, drive patient engagement and improve retention for the practice, enabling increased Alcon market share , incremental sales and achieve sales targets
  • Promote the introduction of Alcon's digital platform and encourage new prescriptions/subscriptions, accelerating customer acquisition and consumer enrollment to subscription services.
  • Assist ECPs to improve the consumer journey experience within the practice (CL awareness, practice efficiency opportunities (e.g. around fitting), post fitting support, subscriptions programs through digital platform) to accelerate CL sales growth and market share gain
  • Responsible for planning fitting events to effectively support patient journey and enhance consumer experience with strategic Alcon brands.
  • Maximize Alcon in-store visibility through POS materials and other visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Coordinates the educational curricula in collaboration with Professional Education team.
  • Collaborate locally with Senior Business Development Managers, Professional Education and Marketing to create and implement outstanding practice support model.

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

  • Relationships are key and having a drive to understand customer businesses and identify needs is important as well as having the ability to challenge and sell using insights.
  • Proven target driven sales experience in a B2B environment & multi-channel selling experience is desired
  • Multi-channel selling experience – desired
  • Flexibility & willingness to work in different locations to meet the needs of the organisation - desired
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and demonstrate sensitivity and awareness to other people and cultures
  • Strong organisational & prioritisation skills

  • Detail oriented
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and/or relevant work experience
