DSG is seeking a HVAC Inside Sales Associate in our Aberdeen, SD location. Hours range between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. As an Inside Sales Associate, you will be responsible for writing orders, taking calls, preparing project bids, and providing overall customer service.

A Typical Day in the Life of an HVAC Inside Sales Associate at DSG:

  • Serve as a primary facilitator for customer orders
  • Assist customers professionally with product inquiries
  • Write and occasionally assist in filling orders accurately and promptly
  • Generate customer quotations and follow up on requests
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support
  • Collaborate with sales team members to resolve customer service issues
  • Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
  • Monitor product inventory and remove damaged items
  • Maintain a clean, appealing counter display
  • Identify and promote additional products as applicable
  • Continue education on latest products via manufacturer schools, trade shows, and other training opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

A Successful HVAC Inside Sales Associate Typically Has:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Product and technical knowledge usually gained through two or more years of college or technical school, or 3-5 years of field experience in residential/commercial HVAC applications
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills across various settings
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Active listening skills to understand customer needs and maintain relationships
  • Superior problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with computers, including experience with ERP systems like Eclipse
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
  • The physical ability to frequently lift and load items weighing up to 60 lbs
