Job description

Job role and purpose

Inside sales is responsible for direct commercial sales for our range of Specialty & Industrial chemicals. In addition, it provides added value solutions for smaller / undeveloped customers. The role requires maintaining and expanding the customer base through proactive management.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-oriented, and possesses an entrepreneurial, "can-do" attitude towards business, with strong communication and presentation skills. Exceptional interpersonal qualities are essential. The candidate should relate well to new and existing customers, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels.

You will report directly to the Commercial Sales Leader – Industrial.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communicating with customers to identify sales opportunities and needs.
  2. Handling new requests from non-existing customers.
  3. Supporting the Customer Development Manager in various tasks to assist with business development (e.g., monthly solvent quotes and follow-up).
  4. Following up with the Customer Care department on order receipt, processing, and management of inquiries.
  5. Monitoring and tracking customer contracts and agreements to ensure products are delivered as agreed.
  6. Managing service requests (e.g., samples) and professionally resolving complaints.
  7. Regularly checking slow-moving stock via stock reports and updating actions taken.
  8. Supporting credit control in specific cases.

About You

You will need to have or demonstrate knowledge of:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer care / internal sales experience.
  • Experience working in a commercial environment.
