Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Ward Manager for Finchley Memorial Hospital. You will lead the inpatient ward, guiding the nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care while fostering a positive, inclusive culture.

The role involves day-to-day ward management, driving quality, staff development, and innovative service improvement in collaboration with MDTs, Matron, and Clinical Lead.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional education and training at degree level.
• Qualification in team / service management or prepared to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical and operational leadership for the ward.
• Oversee assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborate with MDT, community services and social care for seamless discharge planning.
• Maintain patient safety through governance, infection prevention and risk management.
• Support patients and families in care planning and decision-making.
• Supervise and develop ward staff with appropriate appraisal and performance processes.
• Partner with Matron and Clinical Lead to develop services and achieve targets.
