Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications from motivated Registered Mental Health Nurses to join Parklands Hospital as Nurse Team Leaders. You will support a high-quality 24/7 inpatient service and regularly take charge of the ward.

You will provide clinical leadership, develop care plans and contribute to improvements, including leading a key project. Rotational shifts include days, evenings and nights, with weekend work.

Qualifications

• Essential: RMN
• Essential: Sub part 1 of the NMC Register
• Essential: Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Essential: commitment to Lifelong Learning and completion of the rotational developmental programme of training.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of a safe, effective 24-hour inpatient service.
• Take charge of the ward regularly and support daily operations.
• Provide clinical leadership, including coordination, deployment and supervision of staff and students.
• Participate in the DSN rota for site coordination and clinical decision-making.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care programmes with a recovery-focused approach.
• Promote high standards of care and safety, addressing risks and improvements.
• Supervise junior staff, including during night shifts.
• Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team for care planning.
• Lead on a key project or area of practice within the service.
• Engage in training, supervision and reflective practice for ongoing development.
