Vale Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Physiotherapy Lead to manage the inpatient physiotherapy service, provide clinical care, and lead a team within a modern hospital environment. The role is permanent and part-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary up to £49,000 per annum pro rata, dependent on skills and experience.

You will lead the inpatient team, collaborate with consultants, and drive service improvements while ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Qualified Physiotherapist with a BSc in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Previous management experience desirable.
• Demonstrable passion for excellence and driving standards.
• Proactive, adaptable and innovative.
• Confident communicating skills with excellent customer service and escalation handling.
• Ability to prioritise and manage varied workload.

We are looking for an ambitious Inpatient Lead to lead the Inpatient Physiotherapy service, ensuring delivery of high quality effective clinical care through assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of treatment. You will provide leadership, motivation and supervision of all members of the inpatient physiotherapy team as well as providing clinical care for patients. You will bring experience from working within a hospital setting and managing people, but also deliver treatment to patients. You will integrate with staff from Inpatient physiotherapy team, pre-assessment, Theatres and the Ward. You will be responsible for the delivery of safe effective care services that provides patients with the highest level of customer experience within Physiotherapy, identifying and delivering quality improvement opportunities. You will work with the Integrated Clinical Services Manager, Matron and Hospital Director to deliver relevant aspects of the Hospital business plan. You’ll be working in an innovative, clean, modern working environment, while benefiting from support and training opportunities, plus the time and nurse-patient ratio that ensures quality of care.

As our Physiotherapy Lead you will:

Qualifications and Requirements

• To be a qualified Physiotherapist with a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and you’ll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Previous management experience desirable
• Demonstrable passion for excellence and driving standards
• To be proactive, adaptable and innovative
• Confident communicating skills with excellent customer service standards and dealing with escalations
• Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
