Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant in the inpatient eating disorder service at Barberry (Cilantro) within the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

You will work alongside the qualified OT to facilitate group and 1-1 sessions, contribute to the group programme, and help with assessments and interventions as part of the multidisciplinary care plan. A collaborative team environment and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting OT in inpatient settings.
• Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the qualified OT in delivering group and 1-1 sessions.
• Deliver and co-facilitate elements of the ward’s group programme.
• Support discharge planning through activity-based interventions.
• Maintain patient engagement, safety, and adherence to Trust values.
