Job summary

The Mental Health Research Delivery Team at Oxford Health NHS Trust invites applications for a Research Nurse to work across inpatient wards, primarily based at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford. This is a full-time 37.5 hours per week, fixed-term role until 31 March 2027, with potential extension subject to funding.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in mental health, dementias or neurodegenerative diseases.
• Awareness of Mental Capacity and Data Protection Act.
• Registered Nurse with evidence of post-graduate learning.

Responsibilities

• Recruit patients and staff into NIHR portfolio studies and provide recruitment and study delivery support.
• Undertake informed consent, randomisation, treatment allocation, cognitive assessments and venepuncture as per protocol.
• Develop strong relationships with consultants and care coordinators to identify eligible service users and staff.
