Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Associate Practitioner to join the inpatient mental health team. You will work independently within the nursing team and MDT to provide 24/7 access and information in the Trust locality, with shift patterns across days, nights and weekends.

The role requires flexibility, a leadership approach and the ability to train new starters on the unit. DBS checks are required and staff are expected to support safeguarding and equality commitments.

Responsibilities

• You will act as a role model to other colleagues within the team.
• You will deliver high quality, effective operational service to people with mental health needs, in accordance with the principles and objectives of the Trust and its vision as identified in the service.
• The position requires the successful candidate to work flexibly and undertake a change in role at short notice.
• You will work collaboratively with others within the organisation to provide an exemplary level of care to service users and their carers.
• You will take a lead role in the physical health needs of service users.
• You will provide training in aspects of care to new starters on the unit.
