South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a role to ensure staffing aligns with patient needs and empower nurses to extend clinical tasks, while driving infection control and maintaining a clean, safe patient environment. The post involves close interaction with patients, relatives and staff to provide timely assistance and support.

• Ensuring staffing is appropriate to patient needs
• Empowering nurses to take on a wider range of clinical tasks
• Improving hospital cleanliness
• Ensuring and improving the patient environment
• Resolving problems for patients and their relatives by building closer relationships
• To be visible and accessible to patients, relatives and staff in order to provide immediate assistance, advice and support
• Liaison with PALS to participate in community meetings as required. To set up opportunities to enable patients/SU to discuss issues of concern.
• Support the development of systems to support relatives and carers. Attend Service Users Advisory Groups (SUCAG) as required.
• Preventing hospital-acquired infection
• Take the lead on infection control policy implementation and represent the Directorate in IPC strategy meetings
