Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Northampton is seeking a Dietitian to join the hospital-based dietetics team. You will work on inpatient wards at Northampton General Hospital and run outpatient clinics, with an emphasis on identifying and managing nutritional risk and supporting student training.

Applicants must be HCPC registered or eligible to register by Summer 2026, with a range of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered or eligible to register by Summer 2026
• Clinical experience across NHS settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Inpatient caseload on medical wards at Northampton General Hospital
• Inpatient and outpatient dietetics service delivery
• Provide training to healthcare staff
• Involvement in pre-registration dietetic student training
• Run service improvement projects and update resources
• Apply effective communication to motivate behaviour change with patients
• Coordinate workload and manage clinical risk within caseload
• Support dietetic learners with practice education
