Job summary

Change Grow Live is recruiting an Inpatient Detox Nurse for Park House Inpatient Detox Unit in Birmingham. This fully on-site role requires delivering medically managed detox care, education, and BBV screening within an integrated care framework.

You’ll participate in signposting, Naloxone training, and recovery planning with a dedicated multidisciplinary team. The role is a night shift, part-time (25 hours/week), with pro rata pay and permanent status.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with valid registration.
• Experience in inpatient detox settings preferred.
• Ability to educate and promote health within a detox population.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents undergoing medically supervised detox.
• Deliver education, health promotion and BBV screening.
• Administer Hepatitis B vaccinations when indicated.
• Work within integrated care pathways for BBV/HIV.
• Maintain accurate documentation per NMC standards.
• Train staff and residents in Naloxone use.
• Coordinate signposting to other services.
• Promote engagement in treatment and recovery planning.
