Qualifications

  • Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Experience in CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders is desirable.

Job Description:
Your responsibilities
  • Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission
  • Conduct admission assessments and maintain effective management plans of all young people on the unit
  • Conduct risk assessments and review regularly
  • Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs
  • Assess physical health
  • Ensure effective liaison with referring teams
  • Facilitate regular CPA review meetings
  • Act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act
  • Participate in quality, inspections, and governance processes

You will also be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota.

To be successful in this role, you'll need
  • Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a license to practice
  • Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders is desirable
