Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in Colchester is seeking a Peer Support Worker for CAMHS in an inpatient unit. You will deliver 1:1 and group support, drawing on your lived experience to inspire and guide young people through their inpatient stay.

Role involves attending daily MDTs and ward reviews, advocating for young people, and leading therapeutic activities and outings alongside the team. NVQ 3 or equivalent and MH experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care or voluntary sector with mental health.
• Lived experience of mental health and inpatient environment.
• Experience delivering Peer Support.
• Experience with Mental Health First Aid training.
• Proficient IT skills including Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for young people.
• Attend MDT meetings and ward reviews, advocating for young people.
• Deliver therapeutic activities and accompany outings.
