DEEP Manufacturing Ltd. in Avonmouth (Bristol) is seeking an additive manufacturing engineer to realise designs via wire arc manufacturing. You will develop toolpaths for DED-arc and collaborate with production to implement design improvements for low-volume, complex parts.

The role requires 3+ years in engineering, strong CAD/CAM skills, and hands-on 3D printing experience. You will work with the technology development team and contribute to process optimisation and documentation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Engineering, Design, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in engineering, with a focus on production and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
• Strong understanding of additive manufacturing technologies and materials.
• Hands-on experience with operating and troubleshooting 3D printing equipment.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and data-driven approaches to root cause analysis
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and project management skills.
• Practical understanding of machinery and maintenance, and experience with Python or other languages.

Responsabilidades

• Develop toolpaths for Directed Energy Deposition (DED)-arc.
• Collaborate with production to capture design issues and drive improvements.
• Transition and optimise designs for low-volume, complex components to additive manufacturing.
• Leverage additive manufacturing to address design limitations and enhance processes.
• Coordinate with technology development to ensure designs suit advanced techniques and materials.
• Create engineering drawings for Additive Manufactured parts.
• Define design limitations of DED-arc and integrate into product development.
• Share design knowledge and best practices with the team to support learning.
