Job summary

Arts University Plymouth is seeking a Technical Tutor to join the BA (Hons) Game Arts & Animation course. The role supports delivery of an innovative curriculum and collaboration with the Senior Lecturer and Unit Leaders to help students develop skills and confidence.

You will teach workshops, contribute to practical session design, and deliver timetabled sessions, providing formative feedback and supporting assessment processes within a respected arts university.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching and/or demonstrating within the context of creative education.
• Strong subject knowledge across 2D character animation, storytelling, animation production workflows.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support diverse learners.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Teach workshops within an established course.
• Contribute to the design of practical sessions to support the student learning experience.
• Deliver the programme of timetabled practical sessions, including induction, demonstration and taught specialist technical sessions.
• Provide formative feedback and contribute to assessment led by academic teams.
