Innovative SENCO – Respected Secondary School – Abingdon – September Start

A respected and progressive secondary school in Abingdon is seeking an outstanding SENCO to lead on SEND strategy and inclusive provision from September. This is a crucial leadership post that would suit a driven, knowledgeable, and compassionate practitioner who is passionate about SEND education and inclusion.

Your Role:

You’ll lead a well-established Inclusion Team, overseeing EHCP processes, interventions, and staff CPD. You’ll work closely with pastoral leaders and teaching staff to ensure that classroom practice reflects inclusive strategies and adaptive pedagogy. Liaising with external agencies and families will also form a significant part of the role.

You’ll be:

  • Strategically minded, with a deep understanding of SEND Code of Practice
  • Confident in analysing data and identifying emerging trends
  • Committed to whole-school development and culture-building
  • Able to communicate complex needs in a clear, solution-focused way
