Job summary

SpaceAM Ltd. is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to design and build real-time software, drivers and data systems for our sensing and communications technology.

You will take ideas from a clean sheet through to efficient, tested code running on our hardware in live deployments. You will join a small team that owns the full software development lifecycle and have real influence over our products at an early stage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in C/C++/Python for embedded systems.
• Experience with SQL-based databases.
• Experience with Nordic or similar low-power wireless SoCs.
• Embedded firmware experience for radio stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, real-time embedded software for microelectronics, sensors and subsystems.
• Write low-level drivers and HALs for microcontrollers and FPGAs.
• Implement and optimise communication protocols.
• Design and deploy data collection systems for remote environments and IoT services.
• Maintain SQL-based databases and data records.
• Run unit, integration and HiL testing for fault-tolerant live deployments.
• Contribute across the full SDLC from design to working code.
• Align technical solutions with market research and customer requirements.
