Job summary

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Bath is seeking a Lecturer in Numerical Analysis & Data Science to strengthen research in computational mathematics and to contribute to the teaching portfolio in these areas.

You will develop an independent, internationally recognised research programme and teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising PhD students within SAMBa and related groups.

Qualifications

• Independent, internationally recognized research programme in computational mathematics and data science.
• Strong collaboration across Numerical Analysis group and AI Centre.
• Experience in obtaining external research funding and disseminating results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (Maths, Statistics and Data Science).
• Supervise PhD students, including through SAMBa.
• Collaborate with research groups and industrial partners to translate research to impact.
