Our leading SEN school in Newham is seeking a dedicated Deputy SENCo to help shape the future of SEND provision and make a lasting difference.
Position: Deputy SENCo
Location: Newham
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced SEN professional ready to take on a leadership role? As Deputy SENCo, you will work closely with the SENCo to manage and deliver exceptional SEND strategies across the school. You’ll support staff, families, and students in achieving outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SENCo in developing and implementing SEND policies and practices.
- Support the development and review of EHCPs in line with statutory guidelines.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching strategies.
- Monitor the effectiveness of SEND interventions and provision.
- Act as a key liaison for families and external agencies, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Lead by example in promoting inclusion and high expectations for all students.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with extensive SEND experience.
- Proven track record of working in a leadership or coordination role within SEND.
- Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks, policies, and statutory processes.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
