Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a Computer Science Teacher & IT Integration Specialist for a long-term temporary, full-time role starting September 2026 in Winchmore Hill, North London. You will deliver Computer Science and Digital Skills to pupils from Year 1 to Year 8, and support teachers in integrating technology across the curriculum.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, with strong knowledge of CS, ICT, and educational technology, and a passion for technology-enhanced learning.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science, ICT, and educational technology.
• Experience teaching primary and/or lower secondary age groups.
• Ability to teach coding and computational thinking across a range of age groups.
• Passion for technology-enhanced learning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science and Digital Skills from Year 1 to Year 8.
• Deliver specialist Computer Science lessons to Years 5–8.
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons covering coding, programming, digital literacy, computational thinking, and online safety.
• Support teachers across the school in integrating technology into classroom learning.
• Promote innovative and effective use of educational technology.
• Help develop and enhance the Computer Science and IT curriculum.
• Inspire pupils to become confident and responsible users of technology.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.
