Innovation Technologist, Healthcare Scientist/Quality Co-ordinator

The Innovation Technologist (Band 6) within the TriTech Institute & Innovation team plays a pivotal role in the development and implementation of novel medical technologies aimed at addressing unmet clinical needs. Working autonomously within a multidisciplinary environment, the post holder is responsible for designing, testing, and refining complex medical devices and software platforms. A key aspect of the role includes coordinating the departments Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 13485 standards, ensuring all policies and procedures are effectively implemented. The role also involves supervising junior staff, supporting clinical trials, maintaining accurate technical documentation, and deputising for the Clinical Scientist in their absence. The post holder contributes to service improvement, staff development, and fosters a culture of continuous innovation and quality within the department.
