Job Description

Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and system optimisation? This is your opportunity to join Silverstream Technologies as a Project Engineer within the Innovation, Research & Development team.

Reporting To: Head of Innovation, Research & Development

Location: London or Southampton.

While preference is for regular London office attendance, we will consider applicants located a commutable distance to the Southampton office.

The Innovation, Research & Development Project Engineer is responsible for managing a portfolio of IR&D projects related to the continuous improvement and optimisation of the Silverstream System, working closely with Lead Scientists.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Higher Degree in engineering is essential.
  • Chartered Status as an Engineer is desirable, with a clear pathway to achieve it.
  • Project Management Qualification (APM preferred) is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an engineering project management role, with at least 1 year in the marine industry, in a position of technical responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
  • Knowledge of project management software (MS Project preferred) is essential.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing external stakeholders and industry partners is desirable.
  • Effective team player with understanding of team dynamics.
