Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is working on behalf of an established manufacturing client as they build the team for their production plant in Corby. We’re looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter with strong knowledge to carry out mould changes, machine set-ups and processing while maintaining quality, safety and efficiency.

You’ll join a brand-new operation and contribute to establishing a high-performing production environment, with a £40,000 salary and a Monday–Friday rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Hands-on plastic injection moulding experience from mould setting to production.
• Essential qualification: IMT Level 2 or Level 3 in Injection Moulding or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines, tooling and equipment.
• Experience in a high-volume injection moulding environment.
• Experience working safely with overhead cranes and injection moulding tools.
• Good processing and troubleshooting skills.
• Proactive, solution-focused approach and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, change and start injection moulding machines safely and efficiently.
• Process machines to achieve consistent, high-quality production.
• Check finished products using calipers, optical equipment and testing methods.
• Monitor production and troubleshoot processing or equipment issues.
• Identify root causes and help prevent repeat quality issues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and document process changes.
• Minimise material scrap to reduce environmental impact and costs.
• Provide feedback on mould design and work with Tool & Die Makers to optimise moulds for quality and cycle time.
• Work with Mechanical Engineers and electricians to minimise downtime.
• Follow risk assessments and Safety procedures; training will be provided.
