Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join a busy Blackburn toolroom. The role focuses on supporting production, maintaining tooling performance, and ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across manual machining, grinding, and fault diagnosis, with a recognised apprenticeship or trade qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Toolmaker or Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment.
• Versatile across manual machining and grinding disciplines.
• Experience with hot runner systems and fault diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of toolroom and toolmaking activities.
• Work with and maintain hot runner systems.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling faults on the production shop floor.
• Operate manual centre lathes and milling machines.
• Carry out surface grinding and universal grinding.
• Maintain and repair tooling to a high standard.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and tooling issues efficiently.
• Support production requirements and minimise downtime.
• Manage workload effectively with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and workmanship.
