Job summary

KP Plastics Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking a Plastic Injection Machine Setter for a daytime, on-site role. You will set up, adjust and operate plastic injection or moulding machines, install and change molds, and fine-tune process parameters to meet production specs and quality requirements.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a 40-hour week. Applicants should have experience with injection/moulding machines, solid manufacturing knowledge, a focus on quality and safety,

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating plastic injection or moulding machines, including mould changes and parameter adjustments.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Workplace health and safety practices and safe handling of tools, materials and machinery.
• Effective communication and ability to work with production teams and supervisors.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing is advantageous.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in manufacturing or mechanical engineering is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate plastic injection/moulding machines according to specifications.
• Install and change molds and configure machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle times).
• Run trials to verify operation and monitor production quality.
• Identify and resolve machine or process issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain production records and ensure safety standards are met.
