Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join an Initial Response Team in the Greater Manchester area.

About the team

This team is responsible for completing assessments within 45 days to evaluate the level of need a child may require. Following assessment, the team devises a child-focused plan with the family if further intervention is necessary. If long-term intervention is required, the child and family are transferred to the safeguarding team.

About you

The ideal candidate will have post-qualifying experience in child protection, children in need, safeguarding, looked after children, MASH, or referral and assessment. A degree in Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) is required. You must also be registered with Social Work England.
