Desktop Support Engineer - Outside IR35 Available

A leading Asset Management business is looking to hire a motivated and versatile Desktop Support Engineer on an initial 6-month contract.

  • Initial 6-month contract with potential to extend or convert to permanent
  • £200 - £300 per day - OUTSIDE IR35
  • Location: London
  • Hybrid working: once to twice a week in the office
Your key accountabilities
  • Liaise with Service Desk, Service Managers, International Technical teams, and User Community to provide resolutions and support
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Set up and configure new systems and hardware upgrades
  • Maintain current environments and software policies
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and maintained
  • Deliver high-quality support to the business community
Your skills and experience
  • Ideally 3 to 10 years of IT support experience
  • Strong knowledge of desktop environments including Windows 7 and MS Office 2010
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Office365 is advantageous
  • Good TCP/IP, RAS, SCCM knowledge is beneficial
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, CRM
  • Ability to provide user training and support change management
  • Understanding of Wyse Terminal, Citrix, Virtual Desktops
  • Experience supporting mobile technology and applications
  • Knowledge of Ricoh Printers and voice/network architectures
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols, cabling, WAN/LAN architecture
  • Knowledge of Avaya IP Telephony and Polycom Video Conferencing
  • Industry-recognized qualifications such as MCSA Windows 7/10, MCSE, MOS
  • Knowledge of Apple Desktop/Laptop/OSX is an advantage
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure, take ownership, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible team player comfortable in a multinational environment
