Job summary

Interface Recruitment is seeking a Network & Hardware Technician to support a growing IT team across multiple sites in West Yorkshire. You will maintain network hardware, assist with servers, and manage secure remote access while ensuring cybersecurity and reliable connectivity.

The role requires hands-on IT experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to travel between sites. You’ll interact across all business levels and contribute to ongoing technology improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on/network hardware support in a busy IT environment.
• Troubleshoot network hardware, cabling and software issues.
• Experience with Windows Server environments (AD, DFS, DNS, DHCP).
• Configure VPN/SSL VPN for secure remote access.
• Familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V).
• Willingness to travel between sites.
• Strong communication across business levels.

Responsibilities

• Support & maintain network hardware across multiple sites.
• Manage and optimize the company’s telephone system with third-party providers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure.
• Assist with server maintenance alongside Senior Network Technician.
• Ensure cybersecurity standards are upheld.
• Work with internet providers to maintain core network performance.
• Research and develop new technologies to improve systems.
• Provide general IT support across departments and locations.

We’re looking for a Network & Hardware Technician to support growing IT team. From network installation and maintenance to server support and cybersecurity, you'll ensure that the groups systems remain secure, efficient, and ready to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Your Mission:

• Support & maintain network hardware across multiple sites, ensuring seamless IT operations.
• Manage & optimize the company’s telephone system with third-party providers.
• Maintain & troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure to support business needs.
• Assist with server maintenance alongside the Senior Network Technician.
• Ensure cybersecurity standards are upheld, protecting networks from malware & threats.
• Work with internet providers to ensure efficient core network performance.
• Research & develop new technologies to improve system capabilities.
• Provide general IT support across all departments and locations.

What You Bring:

• Hands-on experience in a busy IT support environment, ideally with international exposure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for network hardware, cabling, and software-related issues.
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with VPN & SSL VPN configurations for secure remote access.
• Familiarity with virtualized infrastructure (Hyper‑V preferred).
• Ability to travel to different company sites when needed.
• Excellent communication skills, interacting with all levels of the business.
