Job description

Infrastructure Technician

Location: Leeds

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000

This position is with an employee-owned firm of technical specialists working across all aspects of Civil and Structural Engineering within the built environment. They excel in providing the highest quality Civil & Structural consultancy service across all market sectors.

Due to their increasing workload and expanding client base, they currently require an Infrastructure Engineer/Technician to join the team in Leeds. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a proven ability to coordinate projects, communicate effectively with design team members, and be technically competent with the design of drainage systems to current design standards.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Ability to deliver projects from conception to completion, and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Sound technical skills and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Software experience in AutoCAD and WinDes Microdrainage and AutoCAD Civils 3D is essential.
  • A background in drainage design is essential; earthworks and highways are also desirable.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
  • Preparing plans and drawings at all stages of the development (concept through to construction).
  • Producing design drawings for technical approvals and construction.
  • Ability to carry out infrastructure design on AutoCAD and/or Civils 3D software.
  • Managing document recording (incoming and outgoing).
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate concisely with colleagues and clients.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence.
