A local government authority is seeking an enthusiastic Infrastructure Support Officer in Lincolnshire. You will provide technical support for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, assisting with consultations, budgeting, and document preparation. The ideal candidate has experience in Planning Support and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join LCC’s Planning Team as an Infrastructure Support Officer to assist the Infrastructure Team in responding to a growing number of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) in Lincolnshire.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and organized team member who can provide technical support to the Infrastructure Team to help with the Council’s response to NSIPs, aiming to deliver the best outcomes for Lincolnshire residents and the environment. There are many exciting areas to be involved in, impacting infrastructure development across Lincolnshire.
The Government’s commitment to a net-zero UK by 2050 requires significant changes to the energy sector, with numerous energy projects in Lincolnshire, including solar, energy from waste, carbon capture, grid infrastructure, and offshore wind cable routes.
You will join a multidisciplinary infrastructure team of specialists, providing administrative and technical support to contribute to the Council’s response to NSIPs, some of the largest planning projects in the county.
The successful candidate will assist the Infrastructure Team with tasks such as handling consultations, maintaining records, scheduling meetings, supporting budgeting and financial management, document preparation under supervision, and supporting officers with committee and public examination tasks.
Training on procedures and systems will be provided.
This role involves working collaboratively with promoters, applicants, communities, and stakeholders.

Applicants must hold a Certificate in Town Planning Support, NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline, or have relevant experience.
