Infrastructure Support Engineer (Previous Relevant Experience is Required), Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical tasks, helping to maintain the nation's vital infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician provides administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution aligns with procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

What you’ll do:
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  • Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  • Action Service Requests.
  • Allocate/despatch tickets to technical support, field engineering, and other service providers.
  • Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  • Coordinate traffic management with providers, control teams, and field resources.
  • Provide updates to customers on network incidents.
  • Liaise with utility companies regarding power-related network issues.
Who you are:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise across all levels of seniority.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
