Infrastructure Support Engineer (Previous Relevant Experience is Required), Edinburgh

This role at Telent offers an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure. As an NOC Technician, you'll provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution aligns with procedures and contractual KPIs. The position involves working on a 24/7 shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests and allocate tickets to support teams and service providers.
  4. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  5. Coordinate traffic management with relevant teams and providers.
  6. Communicate with customers regarding network incidents.
  7. Coordinate with utility companies during power-related network issues.
Qualifications:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, ideally in a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience in 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Good communication skills across all levels of seniority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
