Supporting the design, delivery, resilience, security, and efficiency of the firm’s IT infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines. This role ensures secure, scalable, and highly available systems that support the delivery of high-quality legal services, with continuous integration and delivery processes aligned to the firm’s strategic goals and compliant with industry and legal sector-specific standards.
The Infrastructure, Security and DevOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the firm’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and capable of supporting business and client service requirements. The role manages core infrastructure technologies across on-premise and cloud environments, drives automation and deployment processes, and monitors system performance to maximise availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The role also plays a key part in protecting the firm’s technology estate, supporting cybersecurity operations, compliance requirements, and incident response activities. Working closely with IT, security, and development teams, the postholder provides technical expertise, supports infrastructure and transformation projects, delivers 3rd line support, and promotes continuous improvement across infrastructure, security, DevOps practices, and service delivery.
You will be an experienced IT infrastructure, systems administration, or cybersecurity professional who enjoys working across a broad technology landscape and is passionate about delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing IT services. With strong technical knowledge of Windows and Linux Server environments, Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Hyper‑V, networking, and security best practices, you are comfortable taking ownership of complex technical challenges and providing effective solutions.
You are a proactive problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong focus on continuous improvement. You enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues across IT, security, and development teams, balancing operational responsibilities with project‑based work. Ideally, you will have experience or a keen interest in DevOps practices, automation, cloud technologies, and infrastructure as code, with a desire to continually develop your technical skills.
We are looking for someone who is organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellent service. You will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced professional environment, able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders, and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the security, resilience, and future development of a growing international firm. Experience within a professional services environment, along with exposure to technologies such as Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or CI/CD tools, would be advantageous.
