Infrastructure Research Engineer

A fantastic opportunity for a driven Infrastructure Engineer to join a global technology company, working at their "Systems Infrastructure Research Lab" in Edinburgh, Scotland.

As an engineer in the SIR Lab, you will collaborate with leading scientists, tackle cutting-edge research problems in systems, foster influence in academia and industry through technological innovations, and cultivate partnerships with local and global research teams.

You will work alongside a team that bridges the gap between systems research and practical engineering, facilitating the translation of breakthroughs into production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to exploration of emerging technologies and systems within the research and development team.
2. Participate in system design, analysis, and prototype development projects.
3. Identify research problems, design solutions, analyze results, and build prototypes to demonstrate technology advantages and challenges in data center and cloud applications.
4. Design, implement, and evaluate key technologies and algorithms.
5. Engage with academia, industry, and open-source communities to influence and contribute to technological advancements.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
2. Familiarity with research methodologies.
3. Experience with system design and implementation.
