Job summary

ABS Commercial Solutions is growing and actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to support a varied portfolio of utilities and infrastructure projects across Newcastle and the wider North East. In this role you will be involved in commercial management, cost control and ensuring financial controls are maintained to support successful project delivery.

You will work with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors and utility providers, engaging with project teams and clients to manage contracts and commercial

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying or similar commercial role.
• Strong cost control and commercial management knowledge.
• Experience with subcontractor management, valuations and final accounts.
• Knowledge of contract administration and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.
• Preparing and assessing payment applications, interim valuations and cost reports.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial accounts.
• Monitoring variations, change control and commercial risks.
• Administering contracts and managing contractual obligations.
• Preparing valuations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Supporting commercial negotiations and resolving issues.
• Working with project managers, clients and subcontractors.
• Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance.
• Ensuring commercial processes throughout project lifecycle.
