We are seeking a candidate with roads design and delivery experience, who is motivated, solutions-focused, and eager to develop professionally. You will:

  1. Provide technical advice and guidance on transport best practices across modes to support the council's economic and energy-related design goals.
  2. Investigate, develop, and evaluate design solutions considering their environmental impact, safety, economy, integration, accessibility, quality, and ease of construction.
  3. Lead and support technical surveys, assessments, feasibility studies, drawing preparations, bills of quantities, and cost evaluations.
  4. Collaborate with the Roads Design Team, other internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective project delivery.
  5. Support colleagues and share knowledge across the service.

If you wish to discuss the role informally, please contact Paul Cronin, Design and Engineering Service Manager, at croninp@stirling.gov.uk.

We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, regardless of belief, disability, sex, age, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. If you believe you have the skills or the drive to develop into this role, we want to hear from you!
