Job Description: Delivery Manager

Job title: Delivery Manager

Location: Field – Leeds/West Yorkshire

Our Field teams are essential in delivering our contracts, whether that involves maintenance, installation, cabling, or civils works. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.

Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, you will manage the delivery programme for the area, liaising between Depot Supervisors and the Project Program team. Responsibilities include coordinating Civils and Flex activities and ensuring the activity plan for the PON estimates is efficient.

What you’ll do:

  1. Ensure safe working practices are adopted as the top priority, supported by correctly completed documentation.
  2. Maintain a 'right first time' quality culture, ensuring work complies with Openreach standards.
  3. Supervise teams daily and attend site meetings.
  4. Conduct joint site meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  5. Provide regular updates to works control and noticing departments.
  6. Coordinate and record site meetings with authorities.
  7. Ensure all permit and noticing conditions (NRSWA) are met.
  8. Keep accurate daily records of works and issues, updating SOLO Notes and project trackers.
  9. Report daily to line management on outputs and issues.
  10. Complete all Job Pack Supporting Documents accurately, including diagrams and forms.
  11. Ensure Traffic Management / TTRO requirements are met and recorded.
  12. Set estimate required by dates aligned with the delivery program.
  13. Allocate jobs on SOLO/Connect systems to accredited resources.
  14. Track surveys against plan and ensure 'Light loss' readings are sent to clients.
  15. Follow mandated system progress/RFNA protocols.
  16. Perform surveys under S11/S13 accreditation using Orion System.
  17. Request manual orders for civils as needed.
  18. Attend exchange mobilization meetings.
  19. Compare build packs to survey expectations and report weekly delivery.
  20. Check survey quality and walk PON routes.

Who you are:

Key requirements:

  • Understanding of the Openreach external network.
  • Knowledge of building PON Telecoms Networks, preferably on the Openreach Fibre Cities network.
  • Experience with SOLO / Connect / CT Mobile (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC use.
  • NRSWA Unit 2, IOSH Managing Safely, SA001, SA002, K006, K008, N023, N027, N028, S011 / S013, TC55, MEWP, NRSWA Units LA, S1-S7.
  • Use of Solo, Qlikview, ConnecT, etc.
