Job description

Job Title: Infrastructure Team Manager

Location: Ellesmere Port

Salary: £50k – 55k per year + health insurance, free onsite gym, and more!

We are partnering with a global organization based in Ellesmere Port to recruit a permanent Infrastructure Team Manager. In this role, you will guide their Infrastructure team through a period of change, managing day-to-day onsite operational support across three UK sites, which will require travel.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
  2. Review weekly performance, analyze trends, and monitor improvements and risks.
  3. Supervise the correct use of IT systems at all sites and contribute to creating user and best practice guides.
  4. Oversee maintenance and upgrades of operating systems, software, and hardware.
  5. Collaborate with the Group Head of IT Infrastructure to maintain hardware, software, networks, and cybersecurity policies.
  6. Resolve and coordinate incidents affecting systems.
  7. Assist in planning and coordinating activities, resources, and staff related to IT infrastructure, including operating systems, databases, ERP, and communications.
  8. Manage supplier relations and support contracts.
  9. Design training and development plans for the infrastructure team and conduct personnel appraisals.
  10. Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects.
  11. Address internal customer queries proactively.
Skills Required:
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience managing IT projects
  • Experience in IT infrastructure support and end-user support
  • Knowledge of IT security
  • Experience with communications and networks
