Infrastructure Solicitor – 3+ PQE to Counsel level

Our client, a prestigious top UK City law firm, is seeking commercially astute solicitors from mid-level to counsel level to join its growing Infrastructure Finance team, part of a wider, market-leading Finance Group. This is a rare opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure transactions in the market, with genuine scope to shape the future of the practice.

The team advises sponsors and lenders across a broad range of UK and cross-border deals, spanning acquisition finance, refinancings, portfolio and Holdco financings, and select project-level transactions. The work is varied, commercially significant, and strategically important to the firm.

The team’s recent mandates have included:

  • The refinancing of a midstream oil and gas operator in the North Sea
  • A capital restructuring for a ferry business involving senior debt refinancing, a debt-for-equity swap, and shareholder equity transfer
  • Financing for Europe’s largest provider of emergency aerial services, with global operations
  • Refinancing of a modern bunker fuel terminal
  • Refinancing transactions for UK ferry operators and a European gas transmission infrastructure
  • Financing for the expansion of a major highway in Central Europe
  • Solar portfolio financing in the UK and fibre-to-home network rollout in Europe
  • Financing for the acquisition of a high-speed rail line
  • Syndicated financing for a renewable energy provider in Europe to modernise 10+ wind farms
Responsibilities
  • Work on complex and high-profile infrastructure and project financings as part of a collaborative, cross-practice infrastructure group
  • From day one, be involved in business development and client engagement, supported by tailored BD coaching and mentoring
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified solicitor in a Common Law jurisdiction
  • Experience in infrastructure finance, project finance, or leveraged finance from a highly regarded law firm
  • Excellent drafting skills and commercial awareness
  • Strong communication and time management abilities
