Why this job matters
The Infrastructure Engineering Specialist works independently with Automation, Enterprise Systems Management (ESM), and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) technologies, executing the vision of key technologies within the infrastructure landscape.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the implementation of high-level designs for stable network and infrastructure environments that meet organizational needs, are shared with partners, and comply with security, privacy, and audit requirements.
- Lead the maintenance of IT Infrastructure components, tools, or locations, and execute designs on services such as network, security, storage, and compute, in line with design standards.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge and expertise to support resolution of complex issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across application development, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to implement effective product roadmaps.
- Support internal tools and system health, manage infrastructure for projects, and oversee customer support contracts.
- Work with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operational procedures.
- Document processes and build tooling to facilitate infrastructure management.
- Document processes, measurements, and assessments for work and projects.
- Participate in the installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of network and infrastructure hardware, software, and communication links.
- Audit and report on network and infrastructure performance, recommending corrective actions or improvements.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in infrastructure engineering, sharing knowledge with the team.
- Mentor other infrastructure engineers to enhance team capabilities.
