Infrastructure Engineer, VP

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join the Endpoint Security Team, focusing on implementing the Firm's Cybersecurity Strategy by designing, engineering, deploying, and operating technical security controls for the Enterprise.

The Endpoint Security Team develops solutions to protect Desktops, Laptops, Servers, and Cloud resources from threats, providing preventative, detective, and hardening controls, along with real-time endpoint detection and response capabilities. The team is expanding controls to Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), offering an opportunity to contribute to key security implementations.

This role is within the Technology division, which leverages innovation to build capabilities that support the Firm's operations, enabling clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape communities. As an Infrastructure Security Engineer at VP level, you will provide specialized cyber expertise and develop solutions to safeguard the organization against security threats and vulnerabilities.

What You'll Do:

  1. Work as part of a global, cross-disciplinary Agile team adopting DevOps practices within the Endpoint Security Team.
  2. Apply strong Windows Infrastructure/Security knowledge in enterprise on-premises and cloud environments.
  3. Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  4. Continuously improve technology solutions through peer reviews, retrospectives, and refactoring.

Skills for Success:

  1. Hands-on experience with enterprise IT environments.
  2. Deep knowledge of Windows Endpoint Internals and automation in large-scale environments (>50,000 endpoints).
  3. Experience in designing, engineering, and architecting solutions from proof of concept to production.
  4. Proficiency in troubleshooting complex Windows environments.
  5. Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
  6. Interest in cybersecurity technologies.
  7. Effective communication skills for presenting projects and strategies.
  8. Experience managing projects under pressure and handling high-severity incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Windows Defender ATP/Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft E5 security suite.
  2. Knowledge of Disk Encryption and OS Hardening.
  3. Experience with Defender for Cloud Apps, Splunk, SCCM/Intune.
  4. Experience working in DevOps/SRE teams.
  5. Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, network, and storage.
  6. Experience in platform design, deployment, and continuous service improvement.
  7. Background in Agile environments and familiarity with Unix and MacOS administration.
