Job summary

bet365 in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to power the technology behind our platform, ensuring robust, scalable systems across Windows and Linux workloads, private and public cloud, and containerised environments.

You will work on cross-functional infrastructure solutions, incident resolution, automation, and continuous improvement, with weekend on-call rotations and eligibility for hybrid work from home.

Qualifications

• Windows Server administration including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Failover Clustering.
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) with vCenter, vSphere and operations/monitoring tooling such as Aria Operations.
• Hands-on storage experience in file, object and block storage with NetApp, Hitachi and Pure.
• Drive to implement automation through scripting and coding using PowerShell, Ansible and Python.
• Interest in using AI-powered tools to support technical investigation, documentation and workflows.
• Fundamental understanding of networking, load balancing, enterprise FC storage, tiering and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology specialists to fix issues and deliver platform enhancements.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and opportunities for automation.
• Support, maintain, build and manage platforms, systems and storage.
• Define and enhance system monitoring using modern tooling and practices.
• Mentor and coach other engineers to transfer knowledge and skill across the team.
• Participate in an on-call support rota for technical escalation.

Job Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help power the technology behind the world's favourite sports betting platform, ensuring our systems remain robust, scalable and ready for anything.

The Infrastructure Systems team manages the lifecycle of compute and storage platforms underpinning highly demanding products and services. This global environment is varied and complex, incorporating bare metal, virtualised, and containerised Windows and Linux workloads across private and public cloud.

Improving day-to-day operational efficiency and predictability is key. This role involves working on cross-functional infrastructure solutions, business continuity management, problem investigations, incident resolution and system builds, all while striving for continuous improvement.

You will be required to provide office weekend support on a rota basis, and you may be required to join out of hours support on-call on a rota basis.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid work from home policy.
