Job description

The Role...

The infrastructure engineer will be responsible for the design, build, deployment, and maintenance of the Network and Security infrastructure for Soho House and its associated fascia's (Soho Restaurants, Soho Works, Retail, The Ned, Scorpios, The Line, The Saguaro, and Soho House & Co overall). This role will be roughly 70% project-focused and 30% business-as-usual/support-focused.

The role will be based at the London Support Office and remotely, reporting directly to the Group Head of Infrastructure. They will work together to ensure a high security and infrastructure posture across all Soho House & Co entities, properties, and systems.

Main Duties...

  1. Ensure successful delivery of network infrastructure projects, on time and within budget, by all Network Infrastructure Engineers and Contractors.
  2. Document and communicate the progress of all network infrastructure projects to stakeholders.
  3. Assist with preparing network bill of materials and scoping for new house openings and refurbishments.
  4. Configure and maintain networks (Netskope, Palo Alto, Aruba EdgeConnect, HPE/Aruba Central, Aruba ClearPass, Ruckus, Cisco).
  5. Carry out network infrastructure projects/upgrades and new house opening projects (on-site/remote globally).
  6. Document new and existing network infrastructure.
  7. Support handover of new network infrastructure to in-house teams and third-party managed service providers.
  8. Implement network security projects, including deploying new security tools/functions globally without disrupting operations.
  9. Research, test, procure, and implement new technologies and products to meet business needs and improve workflows.
  10. Assist with administration tasks such as change requests and managing infrastructure/security support tickets.
  11. Perform due diligence on third-party work to ensure infrastructure and security standards are met.
  12. Remediate vulnerabilities across all networks.
  13. Coordinate with third parties for vulnerability remediation.
  14. Conduct quarterly/bi-annual on-site reviews of network infrastructure.

What We Are Looking For...

  • Highly technical expertise.
  • Extensive experience with Layer 3/Layer 7/SASE networking, including vendor-specific skills such as Netskope, Palo Alto, Aruba EdgeConnect, Aruba Central, HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus, and Microsoft networking.
  • Desired experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2012-2022), SQL, IIS, Active Directory, PowerShell, Office365, and hypervisors like VMWare and Scale Computing.

Additional Technical Skills...

  • Security-conscious design principles.
  • Experience managing large-scale MPLS/VPLS/SD-WAN networks (75+ sites).
  • Knowledge of static and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
  • Experience with Data Centres across multiple regions.
  • Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, GCP.
  • Familiarity with SSO/SCIM/OATH/SAML (Okta, ADFS, Azure AD).
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, troubleshoot quickly, and improve current environments.
  • High attention to detail, flexible schedule, and ability to travel internationally.
  • Strong communication skills.
