Job description

Arcas Technology is partnered with a global financial trading firm that specializes in derivatives contracts, including Futures and Options.

The role will focus on designing, deploying, and supporting Linux-based infrastructure across global trading operations, while also providing 2nd line support for a 24/5 trading system. You will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing core infrastructure services in a highly technical, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Deploying, configuring, and managing Linux-based systems and services.

Maintaining and enhancing custom systemd services and OS-level configurations.

Supporting and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.

Managing GitLab infrastructure to support CI/CD workflows.

Operating and maintaining Kafka clusters for high-throughput messaging.

Troubleshooting production issues across systems, networks, containers, and applications.

Monitoring infrastructure using Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.

Automating processes with Ansible.

Participating in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/5 coverage.

Key Skills:

Proven Linux administration experience (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) including deployment, patching, and kernel tuning.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.

Strong understanding of GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience managing Kafka clusters in real-time environments.

Expertise with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.

Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management.
